Seven years ago, Lauren and Garrett, her husband, met at a Halloween party. In 2014, they tied the knot and began their “happy ever after.” One year before Laura’s American Idol audition, there was a tragedy that changed everything.
After dinner, Lauren and Garrett were on their way home when a car ran a red light and hit them from behind.
Laura elaborated, “We just had a really fun night out, and then I woke up in the hospital.”
“I never thought I would be a widow at 27.”
Laura stated, “There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what.” And I continue to search for it every day.”
She is currently auditioning for American Idol, fulfilling the wishes of her husband.
