Frances Buzzard carried out the typical responsibilities of a regular janitor.
She would always polish furniture to a mirror finish. Furthermore, soon all the staff and understudies experienced passionate feelings for this brilliant person for her unbelievably difficult work and determination, which transformed the school into one of the cleanest places in the city.
However, it turned out that this elderly woman kept a terrible secret from everyone at all times.
The director summoned Frances to the school cafeteria one day. When the need was announced over the loudspeaker, the woman must have been perplexed.
Her first encounter in the cafeteria went far beyond her wildest expectations.
More than 200 faculty and staff members awaited Francis’s greeting to the woman on her 77th birthday. It turned out that the principal discovered that this elderly woman had never celebrated her birthday in person. Additionally, every member of the staff as well as the student decided to plan a real vacation for her. It was the absolute first cheerful birthday of her life!
After a loud “Happy Birthday” song was played at the door, a cart filled with gingerbread cookies, chocolate muffins, and plenty of lemonade was rolled out of the kitchen.
Frances received a sparkling tiara to wear on her head. Before the woman was led to a chair in the very center of the room, the students also hung a ribbon in her honor. She was undoubtedly the party’s star.
A substantial screen was revealed when the curtains on one side of the room opened. It started a slide show with footage from a documentary about Frances’s life.
Throughout her long and turbulent life, numerous photographs documented significant historical events. One of them showed Frances standing next to Neil Armstrong on the moon while raising the flag on Iwo Jima. During her peak, she was a young woman with a lot of energy.
Frances reflected on her early years. She was raised by a poor family. It turns out that her parents were never able to afford to celebrate the young girl’s birthday properly. They barely got a chance to celebrate Christmas at all.
The school’s wonderful act of kindness is truly delighted Frances. The principal, teachers, and students thoughtfully rewarded the cleaning lady for her efforts. One can only express gratitude to these individuals for making the elderly woman smile on her birthday.
