He resembles so much his father.
The majority of individuals believe that Willie Nelson wrote the song “Always on My Mind.”
However, it was written and performed by Gwen McCrae in 1972 by Johnny Christopher, Mark James, and Wayne Carson.
Another artist who made the song popular was Elvis Presley, who made it into a country and pop-crossover hit.
However, many of Willie Nelson’s fans now adore the rendition.
When he sings, Nelson simply has a way of making you feel the emotions in your heart. As it turned out, Willie’s son Lukas also got the bug to perform. His voice is so melodic and full of life. He first went on tour with his well-known father, but now he has his band, “Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.” Although his songs are similar to those of his father, you can tell that he has created his path through the music industry with his distinctive voice.
That doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy singing the songs his father wrote!
He is proud of his father and everything he has accomplished in his life.
Basically, wouldn’t you be as well?
Lukas decided to perform a stripped-down version of the song “Always on My Mind” one evening during a casual jam session with other talented musicians. He let his voice soar with only a piano and a trumpet accompanying him.
Additionally, it is exquisite.
A straightforward song arrangement is just so charming.
Performing music brings such a great deal of joy. It’s such a lovely way to let go. It’s still a good idea to give it a try from time to time, even if you don’t think you have a very good voice or can’t play an instrument. Not every great musician was known for having an angelic voice; sometimes, it was more about the songs they wrote or the feelings they conveyed through their music. Simply consider Bob Dylan! Even though his songs have such universal appeal, he is not generally regarded as possessing a “good” voice.
But Lukas, like his father, has a great voice.
In the video below, listen to Lukas’ rendition!
